Default Bush keeps revising war justification

This quote below stuck out like a lightning bolt in a pitch black sky for me. Only because about 5 & 1/2 years ago I tried to explain this very thing to a stubborn and belligerant Aussie in another forum. He was anti american from the word go. He thought if that was the reason then America was wrong for taking pre emptive action for self defense.

I think at the time an understanding of the fanatical islamics goal was known but there was no way to convince the american public.Since then the true nature of the radical goal & the lack of support from countries that are only interested in their own welfare has begun to be understood.

Not totally understood because politicians like Nancy Pelosi are more into bashing Bush for political gain that submitting their own plans for overcoming the real threat of domination by religious fanatics.

"We can't tolerate a new terrorist state in the heart of the Middle East, with large oil reserves that could be used to fund its radical ambitions, or used to inflict economic damage on the West," Bush said in a news conference last week in the Rose Garden.

Sooner or later he may find one that resonates with everyone. I don't guess we can put Saddam back in his spider hole, eh?

If we do, he will most likely have rope burns on his neck.

I think we can safely deal Saddam out of the future mess that's in Iraq. This time it's the Shi'ites scoring over the Sunnis in the murder game. It's one hell of a mess.

Which is worse? Gang related turf wars in major cities in the US, or religion motivated war between Shi'ites & the Sunnis.

Ongoing mass death makes the news every night I wonder when the reporting will get to the point of where we are with gang wars to be de- sensitized to it all.

Thanks for writing that...

We've crossed the divide, there's no going back... for anyone.
