Westboro 'church' planned to demonstrate at slain Amish girls funeral

Shirley Phelps-Roper was on Hannity and Colmes tonight to talk about it. At the end, Hannity called her souless, thoughtless, cruel, braindead , religious nut and Colmes called her pathetic just before he cut her off and went to a commercial.

That 'church' had a plan to protest at the funeral of the slain Amish children because they deserved to die. 'g'od (small 'g' on purpose) sent the killer to them to punish them because their parents created their own form of righteousness. 'g'od also killed them to punish the Governor and people of Pennyslvania because they dared to sue the Westboro church.

Apparently getting air time to spew is why they cancelled the demonstration.

Members of a Kansas-based church that has picketed funerals of fallen American soldiers are expected to protest at the funerals of the Amish girls killed Monday in Lancaster County, according to a news release issued by the church.

The Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka blamed Gov. Ed Rendell for the mass murder of the five girls in a one-room schoolhouse because he ridiculed the church on a national television news show, the news release said.

The church said nothing about the man who shot and killed the girls and wounded five other girls. He was identified as Charles Carl Roberts IV of Bart.

Westboro Baptist Church cancels plans to protest Amish Funerals.
Westboro Baptist Church called off their protest after syndicated talk show host Mike Gallagher arranged a deal with Shirley Phelps-Roper, daughter of Rev. Fred Phelps.

An agreement was made in exchange for an hour of radio time on Gallagher’s show. Gallagher stated the Phelps group would have to sign an agreement causing church officials liable if they broke their promise.

Shirley Phelps-Roper stated Westboro Baptist Church planned to cancel the demonstration if they were given a radio and tv soapbox to champion the church’s schools of thought.

Gallagher commented he felt terrible relinquishing an hour of his show. He believes it merited the forfeiting to prevent the protesters away from the funeral.

Yet Shirley Phelps-Roper defended their initial decision to protest the funeral.

She remarked, "Those Amish people, everyone is sitting around talking about those poor little girls —— blah, blah, blah —— they brought the wrath upon themselves," Phelps-Roper said, adding that the Amish "don't serve God, they serve themselves."

A Topeka church that had said it planned to protest at the funerals of five Amish girls killed in Pennsylvania this week now says it won't have the protest.
That comes after a nationally syndicated radio talk show host, Mike Gallagher, offered the Westboro Baptist Church an hour of airtime tomorrow in exchange for dropping the demonstration.
Now, a representative of the Topeka group will appear on Gallagher's show.
Members of the anti-gay church says it blames Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell for the deaths of the Amish children because of comments he made about Westboro Baptist on national TV several months ago.
Rendell's reply today when told about the group's statement? ``They're insane.''

These people are brainless and as bad as muslim extremists, the State Troopers should arrest them for racial or religious hatred or something, even if it is farting in the wrong place, there has to be something that can be done by the law to these pathetic idiots.

They fall under freedom of speech which evens covers offensive speech.

These are another example of religious extremists who use (in this case) the Bible to back everything they say and do. Interpretations - there are a ton of them around.
