Default Apologize for this

I swear to Pete, sometimes I think I am the only person in the world that remembers this as if it were yesterday. I also remember the Saudi king offering the US 12million or so, if we said the Jews did it.

Apologize to me, or get bashed in the media like the rest of us.

"I will not respect your life, religion, voice, opinion, or how you live. But I will demand you respect mine, or you will die to prove I am peaceable."
-Islamic Creed as I see it-

These thumbnail images are from HonestReporting.com, where they saved a screenshot of a Yahoo photo search page. All these photos were quickly removed after photographers and stringers were threatened with death by the Palestinian Authority, and it is now extremely difficult to find full-sized images of the celebrations.
Here’s a search page at IMRA, with a list of articles on the parties in Palestinian areas on September 11, and the threats made against reporters.

Here are a couple of reasons the PA gave to destroy these pictures. These are the only surviving ones that I know of.

Quote:
Friday, September 14, 2001 PA seizes tapes of demonstrators waiving photos of Bin Laden Aaron Lerner Date: 14 September 2001 Israel Radio reported this afternoon that the Palestinian Authority seized
the footage filmed today by cameraman from various international and even
Arab) news agencies covering celebrations held in cities across the West
Bank and Gaza by Hamas of the attacks against America. The celebrants
waived photographs of Bin Laden.
The very same news programs and networks that have been dutifully
broadcasting the photo opportunities produced by the Palestinian Authority
(Arafat donating blood, Palestinian students in moment of silence, etc.) to
have their audiences believe that the PA has turned a new leaf have declined
to broadcast the news that the PA is using TERROR TACTICS to discourage the
broadcasting of unfavorable reports.

Quote:
"This was a normal preventive act... we don't want to give more to the
Zionist propaganda which portrays all Palestinians as terrorists," he said.
"The idea is that these people were not allowed to film, because a small
group of people on film would represent the Palestinian people as a whole."
He said only a few kids held up pictures of bin Laden, and the police
arrested journalists and confiscated the film of those who defied orders not
to film an illegal demonstration.
Abu Sharif charged that Israel has violated press freedom far more than the
PA and accused Israel of taking advantage of it for its own propaganda.

PA officials countercharged that pro-Israeli media are trying to portray the
reaction of a handful of people who were celebrating as the Palestinian
attitude.

Commenting on the complaints by the Foreign Press Association, one
Palestinian source responded: "Let them not send any spies next time."

Sorr folks, those pix were not taken in one place, and they look like more than 'a handful' to me. Saudi, and other muslim states; iraq/iran did the same thing.

Where's the Christian outrage?

Ed, I don't think there's such a thing as "Christian outrage!" I think Christians either ignore slights to Christianity, knowing our God can take care of Himself far better than we can. Others pray for those who commit these acts.

But despite the fact that these people are so easily riled, we more pity them than anything else. They are so fixed on their hatred that you wonder if they can digest their food. Being a fanatic can't be easy!

With us, we know God's in His Heaven and all's well with the world - in spite of what we see and hear.

The Palestinians again. They're the same bunch who showed their appreciation to the Jordanian king for taking them in by attempting a coup and those in Kuwait actively supported the invasion by the Iraqis.

Default Re: Apologize for this

I just get frustrated with the religion of peas at times. I read today they burned a 1400 year old Christian Temple in gaza over the 'alleged insult to islam'.

I mean, if you have a problem with someone, take it them, and not to innocent people that have done nothing 'wrong'.

Other words. Take it to the Pope, not a follower of Christ. I've boggles and issues with the ideology of islam, however I would NEVER take it out on my neighbours or co-workers. I did have a muslim refuse to shake my hand once. I simply stated, "Thanks for letting me know your hands are dirty." I grinned at his glare, and went on about my business.

"Some people you just can't reach." LOL!! Anyway, lunch is over, back to work.
