You seemingly know little about Saudi Arabia. Think Mecca and Medina, think a government who finances and supports Islamic radicals in their own country in order to keep from being overthrown. They also export this terrorism. Or, why you are defending Saudi Arabia, perhaps you should research "honor killings" or take a closer look at the rights of women in this god awful place. If you liked the Taliban then you'd love Saudi Arabia. Get your passport to North Korea yet KBay? The "Great Leader" awaits.

Why the hell are they still here? they said they'd leave. Can't trust one to be true to his word these days, nor stick to what he said he'd do. We're there now, don't understand why can't people get into present tense. I thought I was bad about dogigin the previous admin. Dan, I hope you can appreciate the I have about your stance. Add something to the present, something real and pertanent.

Your point of planning and execution of the invasion of Iraq doesn't address my point of the present operation being managed by military commanders. There have been many televised briefings by members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff explaining what they are doing. Naturally Rumsfield would be there he is the department head. Micro management of the present operation would be more evident if Rumsfield was the only speaker and the only one answering questions posed by the press corp. From what I've seen presented publicly Rumsfield is fed info in order to make decisions. Until the Joint Chiefs of Staff complain publicly that they are exempted from planning & execution I'll stick to my belief that the military is calling the shots & Rumsfield is able to make decisions based on information he is given.

Key word "retired". I've never had much use for people that won't speak up when they would do the most good. There is a lack of integrity in that. To my way of thinking. A General that reaches his position has the obligation to the people he defends to speak up as events unfold. Which is more important? To protect a place of honor as a military leader by not speaking out about what you perceive to be wrong. Or to be honorable and use your position to give the country you serve the benefit of your perception? Question for you. What is the value of adding the sentence "Guess you missed it". in your post?
