| Crooning Wolf ![]() | Just one more threat from the people that are supposed to "protect" us. Altho I know of no study that has dealt with this type of thing specifically, my opinion is that "mental defectiveness"...whatever that is supposed to be and whatever it supposedly includes...is a neglibible factor in airline safety. Were this truly a potential or real problem, we more than likely would have seen a rash of real or potential difficulties post VN. We did not. It is unfortunate that we so often hear complaints about kids in schools being labeled, but quite frankly, it seems to me that the TSA and others are much more likely to do just that...and who knows what those labels may be? |

| Monkey Mouse ![]() | This is the same agency that will do contortions to avoid admitting that we were attacked by Arab, 20-something to 30-something, Islamic extremists, not only on 9-11, but several other times. They will not check these known dangers out when inspecting passengers. However, they have no problem demonizing our Veterans and labeling them 'mental defectives'. ![]()

| Razak's Roughneck ![]() | Nope. Everybody gets that protection. Depends ont he hospital though - some are more anal about it than others. Unless the patient or legal guardian (in case of a kid) authorises me, I ain't tellin' noone nothin' about my patient. If I don't stand up for him/her when he/she is incapacitated, who will? EDIT : But this is classical example of the Govt. shooting itself in the foot. They were the guys who brought about HIPAA and they also want to be the ones to violate 'em. A govt. that doesn't want to respect the laws it created, now where have I heard that before? ![]()
