| Fallen Member ![]() | What whips those College Administrators must be! I am at a loss as to how this could occur on October 04, 2005. Had the reverse situation been, whites barring anyone, you can rest assured it would make the headlines as the Aruba debacle. Dr. Robin Chandler — director of women's studies and an organizer of the event — should attend a few classes on equality herself. |

| Razak's Roughneck ![]() | This is really dumb. Not to mention pretty darn offensive too. If I'm trying to defeat racism and discrimination, wouldn't I be making a stronger case by having AS MANY people from DIFFERENT RACES participating? Wouldn't it send a message "Look! Look, it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from! We are all the same here!" How on Earth do you defeat discrimination by mariginalizing yourself by practicing discrimination on your own? Have people forgotten MLK Jrs. speech? How about all the white folk who supported the Civil Rights Movement? People like these make me sick. I echo USA11B's snetiment - I cannot believe that this is happening in the United States of America, October of 2005.

| Racy Ol' Lady ![]() | It would be interesting, wouldn't it, to have Martin Luther King, Jr. witness this. He was a man with a cause - racial equality. The other day, I received an email of hate aimed at him - that same old canard about his name being "Michael" something-or-other; saying he was a complete fraud. (This, despite the "Jr." at the end of his name.) I imagine most of us have had that missile pass before our eyes. Oh - yes. This came from a person who declares a total lack of anyl prejudice, although the prejudice is obvious. I suggest that he was a gentleman; a man who wanted peaceful acceptance as a member of the human race - one race, one people, and all equal. This woman, Dr. Robin Chandler, very likely spews forth great admiration for him, and calls on his name as an example. She does this from a deep pit of ignorance about him and all he stood for.

Typical of her to try and tear Martin Luther King, Jr down. Was he perfect? No. Is anyone perfect?
