Yes, now that you mention it, cb; so that makes me rather curious too. I do remember seeing a picture of President Bush when he was told of the twin towers being hit. He was in shock.

He's not an actor. I'm inclined to believe very strongly that he had a general warning only. Despite the first attack on the WTC, nobody expected another hit on that target. Our military was in bad shape because of so many years of downsizing and lack of proper weapons. Voted against by the current JFK, by the way. Then he screams because the men don't have the proper weapons.

No one person is responsible for the downsizing, but the troops did a magnificent job with what they had. They still are doing a magnificent job. This mess with Es Sadr's followers will be squelched too.

As for bin Laden's determination to attack the US, it was old news by the time Bush was in office.

Thanks. That makes me happy. My mom would have been 74 this Sunday (easter) as well. She's been gone almost 16 years now and I miss her ever so much. She was a very gracious woman.
