I honestly do not think to much of her now or in the past. I also think she is guilty but money talks

From what little I have bothered to read about her; well, she sounds like worse than any two of my ex-wifes combined.

The case of against her, as presented, for the securities fraud charge was weak. From CNN:

Securities fraud was the most serious charge against Stewart, carrying a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. That charge had accused Stewart of using her proclamation of innocence as a move to mislead investors in her company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. That stock tumbled after questions about Stewart's sale of ImClone sales surfaced last summer.

There has been some speculation as to why the feds have even bothered to prosecute.

I may get a lot of heat for this, but even though I have always disliked Martha for her Greedy ways and B54chy personality. I don't believe anyone including the government should have control over when someone buys or sells stock; Regardless of where the tip came from.

I've always thought it much ado about nothing.

She is not exactly Kenneth Lay, and she didn't rob thousands of their life savings.

Her biggest fault may be that she never admitted guilt, and now, even though exonerated, will likely always be thought of as guilty and dishonest in the eyes of others.

I'm not a Martha fan, but have wondered why all the money and resources went to prosecuting her and not Ken Lay etc. Those bozos affected the economy and peoples' pensions. I think it's been a witch hunt with her.
