Farmer: Vandals Spray-Painted Goats

A Clearfield (PA) County couple is outraged after someone spray painted their livestock in Beccaria Township.

The owners of the goats are disturbed that someone would have attacked them with spray paint over the weekend leaving one of them injured.

They say to make things worse; all of these animals have been rescued from abusive homes.

Evan Belin is still trying to make sense of why anyone would have spray painted his goats.

"Why would you do it to an innocent animal that never hurt anybody?"

Evan Bellin said the crime, which took place during the weekend, could set him back hundreds of dollars as the goats' wool is used to make cashmere and the paint could take months to grow out, WPXI-TV, Pittsburgh, reported.

Bailn says he noticed the markings on three of the animals early Sunday morning.

The worst one hit is an 11-year-old female.

Her horns, face, and ears are all painted blue, along with a large swastika on her back.

"It makes me angry and I'm very angry with who ever did this."

Belin says they left behind evidence that makes him think teenagers may be responsible for the animal abuse.

"We found some beer bottles so we thing it was kids drinking who decided to be mischief’s."

But kids or not, this is no practical joke.

"What they did is just like if I went into someone’s home and spray painted their prize poodle."

The Belin's and the state police are searching for the people who did this.

That was a nasty thing to do.

If they would have used tie dye sort of dies,then i would maybe just slap'em around a bit,but as someone who knows what spraypaint does to your lungs,no i mean your eyes,it really hurts.those poor goats should be thoroughly washed before i eat them.
