| Banned ![]() | Though this story may bore some....seeing all the dead threads coming back to life made me think we are fresh out of creativity---that and it's 0230 and I'm deliriously tired but can't sleep ....I have decided to share this. The other day I was cleaning out my garage (the last part of the new house that has not been unpacked....I'd stacked all the boxes of "why the hell do I keep dragging this stuff around with me when I move" stuff in there). So, I'm trying to make an organized mess and see if some stuff can just be plain thrown out. Along came a spider (a REALLY big spider) he was about the size of a half dollar (they get big here). Now, I had recently discovered a hoppy toad (for those not familar you may call them frogs, but they aren't, they are toads) liked to live in my garage as when I'd move boxes he'd jump out at me and scare the crap out of me (he's about the size of my hand). I've previously moved him back to the garden several times and he just keeps coming back (either that or I'm over populated with toads). I knew said toad was still in the garage as I'd just seen him and not moved him yet...so, I shoo'd the spider in his direction thinking "hey, he's here to eat bugs, lemme give him a spider, a really big spider". The toad was fairly used to me by now and just went about his business, until the spider came along....and he frantically hopped away. At that moment I was afraid. If a spider can scare a toad, I'm in big trouble! I am proud to report I did get up the courage and eliminate the spider myself (it took about 8 smacks with my shoe to kill it, but, it won't be hurting my friend, Mr. Toad) |

| Junior Officer ![]() | You don't know how close you came to having a large group from PETA camping in your driveway. Luckily the hoppy frog [ alias ] Mr. toad managed to escape from the terror you were about to foist upon him. Had the spider attacked and rendered the hoppy frog senseless you would have been in big trouble. PETA people frown on such things. The fact that you managed to save the day by eliminating a threat to hoppy frog should earn you some karma from the toad council on ethical treatment of toads. As for size. Any spider that can inflect the least bit of pain on a human could be considered to big.
