| Icing Queen ![]() | Police are trying to figure out who used a doggie door to get into a Jacksonville Beach home and steal nine guns and nearly 1,000 rounds of ammunition. The owner of the guns, who asked Channel 4 not to release his identity, said the stolen guns are collectibles. The victim said he owns two dogs -- a 225-pound Great Dane and a Mastiff. However, on Tuesday, someone used the dogs' entry into the home as an invitation to help themselves to the homeowner's possessions. "When I checked, I found my hand guns were gone," the victim said. He said some of the guns were antiques from World War II that are valuable. The victim said he believes one of the crooks distracted his dogs in the back yard while a second person went inside and locked out the big dogs. The thieves did not touch the victim's television or other expensive items, only taking the guns. The victim said from now on he would keep his guns in a safe, but added the doggie door would stay. "It's a Great Dane and a Mastiff. I mean, who is really going to go in a doggie door that a 225-pound dog can get through?" the victim said. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to solve this crime. Anyone with information the gun thefts is asked to call Crimestoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
