Default What does Sen. Kerry REALLY think of Veterans, military personnel, and families??

This was posted in the Gathering of Eagles forum:

Quote:
For those of us early rising Eagles, John Kerry took a brief moment from his very busy schedule to show us what he REALLY thinks of us.
On Sunday morning, a group of Eagles gathered outside of the NBC studios in Washington DC where Senators McCain and Kerry were appearing on Meet the Press. We were there to counter code pink, but they obviously turned yellow and didn't show.
After the show, Senator McCain stopped and got out of his vehicle to thank us, which was pretty neat. However, Kerry didn't need words to tell us what he thought. As his vehicle sped past, he used the "one finger salute" directed not only at Veterans, but their wives as well.
What do you think of that?

Source
And again:

Quote:
When would it be appropriate for a US Senator to flip off a patriot, a Vietnam vet and a Blue Star Mother?
Sunday morning, after the rally we assembled outside of NBC Studios where Senator McCain and Senator Kerry were on Meet The Press. Code Pink was scheduled to be there but Eagles ruled the streets instead.
Senator McCain left in his limo, but stopped and got out of the car to shake a few Eagle hands and say thanks for what we do. Kerry left a while later and Eagles had a few choice words for him. Some stood with their backs to him. Some shouted words they have saved in their hearts for 40 years. But as his vehicle turned left out of the studio, and the passenger side of his vehicle passed within a few feet of Yaks Girl, a Vietnam vet and Tina, a Blue Star Mother, he offered his middle finger.
I saw it with my own eyes and will be drafting a letter to his office today.
I will answer my own question. There is never a time when it is appropriate for a US Senator to flip off a citizen. Never.
Stand by because he is going to hear from me shortly.

If this site didn't run so damn slow, and give me "page can not be displayed"
twice, there wouldn't be a triple post above.

Kerry giving the one finger salute, so what else is new?

Wouldn't be the first time Kerry has disparaged the troops and Hanoi John picking up where he left off from the Vietnam War, as well as stabbing them in the back.

Kerry told a group of college students at Pasadena City College, "You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." WorldNetDaily: Kerry suggests troops lazy, not bright

How Do You Ask a Man to Be the Last Man to Die in Vietnam?

January 31 - February 1, 1971 VVAW members convened at Howard Johnson's in Detroit, Michigan for the Winter Soldier Investigation. Corroborating war crimes swearing they perpetrated or saw in Vietnam. During the three day meeting, more than 100 veterans and 16 civilians gave pained, heart-rending testimony depicting barbarities against South Vietnamese including sexual assault, arson, torture, murder, and the bombardment and napalming complete villages. The witnesses said the inhumanities were carried out in an unconcerned manner and habitually under commands given by their superior as a course of action. The purpose was to persuade the public the troops were regularly executing war crimes in Vietnam. WinterSoldier.com - <p>Time Line

April 18 - 23, 1971 Kerry and 800 veterans demonstrated in front of the U.S. Capital steps throwing their medals, hats, jackets, ribbons and military papers over a fence.

Kerry appears in a documentary "Sir No Sir." He is one a few young men tossing stuff over the fence. Sir No Sir! - Homepage Sir! No Sir! -
Sir! No Sir! - Documentary on Opposition to the Vietnam War by Active Duty Soldiers

Since Kerry was a decorated vet, often he was interviewed by the Fourth Estate and tv newscasters. He was able to use and manipulate the opportunity to bring up the subject matter of his testimony before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, a bigger viewing audience.
7 May 1970, Kerry and Al Hubbard showed up on ABC’S Dick Cavett Show debating John O’Neil. Kerry’s argument was American policies established by the commanders like free fire zones and setting fire to civilians homes were opposite of the rules of war. Washington Star, 6 June 1971 Kerry gave a detailed account how he and other Swift boat officers became disenchanted with the striking difference between what they were told by their commanders and what the men witnessed.

18 April 1971 Kerry and Al Hubbard appear on NBC’s Meet The Press. They asserted troops in Vietnam committed atrocities, and Kerry was questioned whether or not he personally perpetrated inhumanities in Vietnam. Operation POW.

Because of Kerry’s notability established him as a familiar headman and mouthpiece at anti war events across the nation. One of the anti war events was Operation POW held in 30 - 31 May 1971 during the Memorial Day weekend. The demonstration got it’s identity from VVAW’s concern for U.S. POWs held captive in North Vietnam.

The protest attempted to connect the anti war activism to a patriotic theme.

The demonstrators (VVAW) marched from Concord Massachusetts to Boston Common, a park in Boston. The objective was to call forth the intention and feelings of the American Revolution and flip-flopping Paul Revere’s midnight ride by sojourning consecutive nights at the battle places of the Battle of Lexington, Concord and the Battle of Bunker Hill climaxing at a Memorial rally with a public recital of the Declaration of Independence.

30 May 1971 was Kerry’s only arrest when the dissidents attempted to camp out on the village park in Lexington. The state police woke up the protestors and Kerry. They were arrested for trespassing.

Angry Re: What does Sen. Kerry REALLY think of Veterans, military personnel, and families??

I have had no respect for this man since he threw his medals over the fence. He has no respect for OUR VETS. He is a waste of air. I consider anything he says a lie and to have a alternitive agenda attached to it. Sen. Kerry can kiss my arz.
