| Cricket ![]() | I saw this article and was amazed that someone could just steal a jet and walk away from it. A Buford man, 22, is accused of stealing jet. He apparently took friends on it ( who were unaware that he stole it) and they took a joyride. The friends later heard of the stolen jet and called police. They are not being charged. Now as strange as all this seems I feel that there is a great deal to worry about as the FBI also stated. A spokesman for the FBI said he was "concerned" about the incident. "I would just encourage increased vigilance at the various airports and the companies that have these aircraft to ensure better security," FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett said. "I don't think it requires any systems changes or anything." -- Staff writers Ken Sugiura and John Ghirardini contributed to this report."It is not so much what the young man did but how he could do it undetected http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/met...anearrest.html

| Monkey Mouse ![]() | People do this all the time in my area with cars ... take them on thrill rides and then abandon them. I hope they nail this guy good and beef up security on those airports.

| Icing Queen ![]() | Yeah, this is a little scary. It could have been a terrorist who took the plane. You're right, Carol. How can someone just walk up and steal a jet? Especially after 9/11. Are we getting that lax again? I work in a hospital, and not that I'm profiling , but we have a lot of Arab people coming and going. I get a little worried when I see one I don't know. Especially if he's carrying a brief case. And most hospitals have the same situation. We can't know what could happen.
