Post [News Feed] Nitrogen In The Air Feeds The Oceans
A new study provides the first direct evidence that atmospheric nitrogen is an important nutrient for marine life. The finding suggests a theoretical mechanism for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Previous estimates suggested that nitrogen fixation from the atmosphere played only a very minor role in the oceans.
