| I, Robot ![]() | Testing for the activity of certain genes could be used to predict how breast cancer patients will respond to chemotherapy treatment. In a study published today in Journal of Translational Medicine, researchers sampled primary tumour tissue from eighty-three breast cancer patients, and found fifty-seven 'predictor genes' that could be used to predict patients' response to preoperative systemic chemotherapy in all cases of partial remission, and nearly three quarters of cases of complete remission. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0810012342.htm
