Default 5-ton truck CDL?

I'm looking at getting a 5-ton, and was curious whether or not I would be able to register the vehicle for 25,000 lbs. (it weights 19,000 - something empty) or as an antique (1950's M39 variety) in Connecticut. Does registering as an antique exempt from the CDL / weight? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Default Re: 5-ton truck CDL?

As a follow-up. Does anyone know what it would take to get the crane off the back of a M62 5-ton wrecker?
