Default [MV] Jeeps near Petersburg, VA...update

For all those who are interested, the Ebay listing for the Jeep that I bid on
is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4604469311&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEDW%3AIT&rd=1

Read the ad!!! It clearly states a running and driving Jeep. As I said
before, when I went to look at it, the engine was missing many major components
and the windshield was removed. This guy is a real crook!!!

Luckily, I didn't pay the idiot any deposit before I looked at the Jeep. I
did send him an email expressing that I would warn the MV community about him.
He replied and still tried to convince me that the Jeep was running when I
came to look at it. He also said that he found someone who deserved the Jeep
more than I did and that person paid him more than what he and I agreed upon.
Apparently, there is a sucker born every minute.

The point of my posting is to warn people about this guy and his dealings.
He stores his stuff in Motoaca, VA which is just west of Petersburg.

Thanks,

Mike Pop

I think you are being kinda hard on the guy. After all, he says "running
when parked." That could have been 20 years ago and neighbor kids have been
stealing parts off it ever since. Not uncommon to see kids walking down the
street with a Jeep engine or windshield. :)

Thanks for heads up on this looser!

Glen

Actually, he specifically states this:
"The top and seats are not included,it is a running
and driving Jeep."
Cut and pasted from his listing. Clearly a
mis-representation.

This ad makes the hair on my neck stand up, I would have been cautious from the get go. It does say running when parked: I see engine probably locked up. Then says running and driving: makes me think you better count your fingers after shaking hands with this guy. As far as kids stripping parts, this kinda sounds like GL stripping parts after an item is sold.

Sounds like a name to remember and avoid.

Yep, looks to me like it was parked rather recently.

Good think you didn't send money ahead of time!

It looks better than the one I have and I wouldn't take 400.00 for mine but
it's still running(well most of the time). Wayne
