Who can tell me how to measure the dimensions of a BSP plug on the tracta joint of a 1940's Daimler Dingo? It's 1/2 across the threads, is this 1/4" BSP or 3/8" BSP? Also, Brake adjustment on an M35, the adjuster nuts on the inside of the wheels, you turn them which direction to snug the shoe against the drum? And how far do you back it off? 1/4 turn? 1/8th Turn? How's that Joe? ;-) -- -- Ryan Gill rmgill (AT) SPAMmindspring (DOT) com ---------------------------------------------------------- I speak not for CNN, nor they for me. | Civilians | Major adjustment is more involved than this 'minor adjustment', involving removal of wheels and an inspection port on front of drum and feeler gauges. Looking at the back of the backing plate, the right adjuster turns clockwise and the left adjuster turns counter clockwise.....From the manual: T M 9 - 2 3 2 0 - 2 0 9 - 2 0 - 3 - 2 1 3 - 9 . Adjust the brakes by turning the front shoe adjusting cam clock wise, to bring lining into contact with the drum, until the brake drags slightly when the wheel is turned by hand. Back off the adusting cam just enough to allow the wheel to rotate freely. Repeat this procedure at the rear shoe adjusting cam. turning the cam counter clockwise. Make both adjustments at each wheel as uniform as possible. Repeat the operation on all other wheels.
