not that I'm siding with oil companies, but.....
Isn't the price of fuel, in real, or, time (inflation), adjusted dollars,
lower than in the '70's?
I thought I read that somewhere...........

Their fuel refining/transport supply wasn't hit with a couple of
hurricanes.
