| Civilians | Your right, the Army typically dosn't worry about mileage. But during my time as an operations SGT I vividly remember worrying a whole lot about fuel consumption. Then again, this is an Army at war. Lots more budget to go around. I did mean 3-5 Gallons Per Mile. But that usage was under load with an Abrams. so it might get as good as 3-5MPG without. At least thats what a driver told me a few years ago. I remember thinking that it isnt that much better than an Abrams mileage. --- Stu Ellis <stuinnh@mvnut.us> wrote: [color=blue] > I don't remember the army worrying about gas mileage > before. > > "Stu" > Southern New Hampshire, USA > "Live Free Or Die" > > MVPA #14790 > 1967 M151A1 Jeep > 1964 M416 Trailer > 1986 M1009 Blazer > > -----Original Message----- > From: Military Vehicles Mailing List > [mailto:mil-veh@mil-veh.org] On Behalf > Of Jim Breneman > Sent: Tuesday, January 11, 2005 4:50 PM > To: Military Vehicles Mailing List > Subject: Re: [MV] H.E.T.
