| Civilians | Hi Guys, Nope, didn't miss the thread, just pulling Wayne's chain a bit! :-) I do however long for the days when T.V. was a good thing to watch. Programs ran all year until the summer and then they had re-runs. Now each episode they have to say, "new" to make sure we know that once again after a few shows they are into re-runs already! Good guys had guns and fists and used them well. Things were set right, Ladies rescued, singing was done and they always rode into the sunset looking forward to the next day. I truly believe that it was a MUCH better world back then. Now kids three and up are using language that I still don't use today. Talking back, disrespect, shootings, rapes and God knows what else is coming. MV content; I drove a jeep that my Dad got from who knows where. It had a rifle rack, (sorta), in it and I kept a 30/30 in it all the time, EVEN on school grounds and NO ONE WAS EVER SHOT, IT WAS NEVER STOLEN AND IT WAS FUN TO HAVE!!!! In fact I took my Dad's Garand to "show & tell" with the bayonet on it, (in the scabbard, his advice), and somehow resisted the urge to shoot anyone!???!!??! Heck, plenty of kids brought weapons of some kind to show & tell with NEVER a problem! We all learned to shoot, hunt, fish and respect our parents and all elders! Sorry for the soap box! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!!!!!
