Default Re: [MV] Civilian Built MV

I'm no HMMWV expert but from what I've been told by frinds that work with
them the first thing to do would be to throw out the 6.5 diesel and install
a reliable diesel. Apparently there very under powered and unreliable. I'm
also told much of the HMMWV is not strong enuff. I would guess if you start
building them the way they should be built weight becomes an issue fast. If
It were me out there I would want reliable mechanicle parts that are built
to stand up to all day every day hard use and last a minimum of 6,000
operational hrs with out needing major rebuild. Just normal maintenance
such as Belts, oil changes, ball joints or a U joint or two. Reasonable
armer was another wish they talked about.
