It would have taken more than one person to create fake documents, somehow
get CBS to promote them as genuine, and then sit back and wait for the
Democrats to take the blame. The idea that the Republicans might have
created these documents in order to embarrass John Kerrey is a preposterous
conspiracy theory.

It is true that CBS has a blind spot for anything critical of any sitting
Republican politician, but you would think that out of nothing but self
interest they would have checked this story out before running it.

It now appears that CBS has stepped on their own genitalia with the Ben
Barnes story as well. Barnes testified under oath recently that the Bushes
never asked him to help get George into the Air National Guard. Now Barnes
own daughter has gone public that he (Barnes) is lying for political
purposes. Maybe Barnes is a Republican plant, too?
