| Civilians | Man, I think I might have to take up trainspotting as a new hobby. Unfortunately I left my digital camera at home, so you'll have to trust me when I declare I just saw about 40 or 50 M1070's that just cruised over the rails here, with attendant trailers. These were clearly involved in the current theater, as most had Arabic (!!!) insignia (in khaki, as I recall) on the front cowling. Here's what else they had: · Bridge plates showing "30" · Most if not all were "US ARMY" · The MASSIVE winches on back · The beautiful 16.00r20 Michelin XZL's · CTIS · And close enough to touch (read: drool all over) Interesting drivetrains on those, btw. And finally, my co-workers have a reference point for the sheer size of my 16r20 XL's at home. :) Cheers Bob Ternes 1968 M35a2 ===Mil-Veh is a member-supported mailing list=== To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: <mil-veh-off@mil-veh.org> To switch to the DIGEST mode, send e-mail to <mil-veh-digest@mil-veh.org> To reach a human, contact <ack@mil-veh.org> |
