| Civilians | How are you trying to insert them? Are you using Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from File? Or are you trying to attach a sound to an animation or a transition? In the latter case only WAVs can be used. -- Sonia Coleman Microsoft PowerPoint MVP Team Autorun Software, Templates and Tutorials http://www.soniacoleman.com "Matt O." <Matt O.@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1245172D-35E9-4C27-B367-5152B24240C0@microsoft.com... > For some reason, it won't let me insert MP3 files anymore! | Civilians | Go to Start > Run and type mplay32.exe and click on OK. Open one of the MP3s and try to play it. Does it play? PowerPoint doesn't use WMP or Winamp. -- Sonia Coleman Microsoft PowerPoint MVP Team Autorun Software, Templates and Tutorials http://www.soniacoleman.com "Matt O." <MattO@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:0F0C0991-F0E3-4113-A602-14FBB5ADE336@microsoft.com... >I am using Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from File. | Civilians | What is the source of the MP3? Did you create it or rip it from a CD, or did you get it someplace else? PowerPoint uses Windows mplay32, so if it won't open it, PowerPoint won't be able to. These aren't from iTunes are they? | Civilians | Well, something has changed. Maybe you installed a media player that trashed the settings in Windows. See http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorial...multimedia.htm and compare the tables of settings in section 3 to those on your system. Are they identical?
