| Civilians | Under Tools->Options->Preferences Tab-->Email Options->Advanced, do you have the box checked to show new mail notifications? -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, EugeneN asked: | Hi! | Does anybody know how to fix the problem with absence of new mail | notification in Outlook 2003 (OS Windows XP SP1)? | I searched MS KB and found only one ( | http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;827304), | which does not explain anything | Thank you. |

| Civilians | Hi! Thank you for your reply. I did not move anything to another folder. It is about situation when new e-mail message is coming to INBOX folder & there is no notification - no sound and no envelope. All options in the TOOLS-OPTIONS-EMAIL OPTIONS-ADVANCED... are set. The sound volume is normal, not muted, playing WAV and other sound files OK. I'm not only one who is complaining about the same issue - there are many inquiries on the internet, but ... no solution. Thanks again.
