Default Video clips in PPT not playing

OK

We have a few clients that are running Office XP. When a video clip is tried
to play in powerpoint - it looks as though it has opened behind the
application and starts to play the sound but no video is shown justa black
box.

The video clip plays fine in Media Player 9 on the same client, only when
inserted into powerpoint does it go 'weird'

I have uninstalled office XP and media player and re-installed. Thsi has
solved the problem on one client but not on the others - I'm really at a loss
- as these are non-corporatised desktops I odn't really want to have to
rebuild them from scratch again, anyone have any ideas at all?

Thanks

Reinstalling rarely helps problems and won't help with your videos. To fully
understand how multimedia works in PowerPoint (Windows Media Player is not
involved) see http://www.soniacoleman.com/Tutorial...multimedia.htm .

For quick things to try, see http://www.echosvoice.com/tshoot_video2.htm.
