automating backup

hi all,

i ahve a dell axim x30 that shipped with a nifty little data back up
program. i use this to back up the main memory every now and then to my SD
card - the backup is around 8 megs and doesnt take too long.

is there anyway to schedule this on the PPC its self? like every day at
midnight? i foresee two problems:

1) getting soemthing to actually trigger the backup.
2) calling the backup application (im not sure it can be called from another
program).

if these hurdles cant be overcome easily, is there any backup software that
has a built in scheduler?
