Default Screen Protector question

Ok, I bought a pack of belkin screen protectors and I have applied one to
the screen of my iPaq and I am quite disappointed with the loss on the
screen due to the protector. Is this normal, are Belkin any good? Would I be
better with a different manufacturer?
Thanks
Patrick

I asked the same question a while back and almost everyone raved about the
WriteSHIELDs from PPC-Techs (www.ppctechs.com). I just received a 2-pack of
them just the other day. I haven't installed one yet because I only have a
week on my latest Belkin/Fellows type. I'm waiting until it needs to be
replaced before I put on the new WS. I have to say that I don't know what
all the buzz is about. They cost $30 for the pair and don't appear
drastically different than the Belkins. But they make some good stuff and
do good work so I'm not making any premature judgments. I also got the
replacement grips for the 2215, lighted stylus, and Lil' Sync at the same
time. They're all incredibly terrific products so I'm thinking my first
impression of the WriteSHIELD is wrong.

Cheers,
Russ

I had similar thoughts (using clear vinyl on my Jornada 548)
until I used some of these expensive screen protectors. Now I
can't go back to clear vinyl. The feel of the screen is way
better, the durability is simply great, and the protection is
not sliding on the screen, like the clear vinyl was. So my
advice would be: if you're happy with what you're using, avoid
trying the expensive screen protectors. They'll ruin your screen
protection budget.

I bought 2 from www.overlayplus.com and they are amazing! You can't
tell there is a screen protector on the screen!! It doesn't have an
"anti glare finish" which, IMO, makes the screen look crap. It is
designed to look just like the normal screen, and it does. A bit
pricey you might think but so worth it as I doubt you will ever need
more than 2

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with those. Although I didn't see much
difference with the also expensive Brando type of screen protectors, I
did see and notice a lot of difference with the cheaper brands. The
feel is much more paper like, and the durability is great. I use one
every 6 months or so, and that is while using the screen *a lot*.

Well I have tried 3 Belkin screen protectors, trying to get them to appl y a
little better but I gotta say it really does detract from the screen no
matter how I try to apply them.
Near $20 for 12 protectors that really suck.
