Default microsoft.public.pocketpc, microsoft.public.windowsce.app.development, microsoft.public.pocketpc.developer, comp.os.ms-windows.ce, microsoft.public.windowsce.embedded.vc

We use an htmlview.dll control in our application running on both
smartphone and pocket pc's to display a registration web site. This
works fine 50% of the time... the other 50%, when the window gets
closed the device appears to hang. The web control is a modeless
window, and when closed, a second modeless window (the main
application) should pop-up. Instead what happens is that the device
appears to hang in between the two windows, and the screen is painted
with a mixture of both. Tracing the code shows nothing (ends up in
system calls), and the problem appears to occur very randomly. No
exceptions or errors appear even when run on the emulator. Has anyone
seen such behaviour with their control?? If needed, we can paste some
of the class code as an example.

You should try the microsoft.public.pocketpc.developer or
..smartphone.developer groups. No need to attempt to crosspost to 5-6
groups.

Is it possible to move all listed Contacts to a storage card? Speed is not
the issue, but rather available system memory on a T-Mobile PPC. TIA for any
assistance.

JIM

Ummmm.... I am not too sure how the last message worked out...

Regardless, back to my original problems, I was wondering if they
could be based on the fact that we are running code compiled for 2002
smartphone and pocketpc's on 2003 devices. My understanding is that
all 2003 devices are backwards compatible, but that leads to the
question of why the same source code builds to a different file size
depending on whether it's targeted toward 2002 or 2003 devices. I also
notice that some companies post both 2002 and 2003 device versions of
their software. So is 2002 really compatible on 2003 devices?
