| Head Mouse Trainer ![]() | I have been considering this for some time but as for now I decided to see the public input on the renovation. I am going to re-arange the forums and in the process add or even remove some of the current ones. Here are some issues/points to consider if you can when you respond. 1. forums that are non-performing should be removed or merged. A non performing forum is one that public users do no actively participate in (less than 1-2 threads (not posts) per day). 2. Over performing forums should get subdivided or have subforums created. 3. Some categories may get merged or some may get divided. 4. The forum index may shrink or may expand. 5. USENET subforums will stay but may be moved around. Please post any comments or ideas on this thread. After a few days and some staff discussion I will make the announced changes and 'get er done' ![]() Thanks again, -Jason |

Jason, sometimes I find it hard to be able to hit all of my 'regular' forums in a single session. Meaning that thread traffic can be cut by at least one for that day. Does this mean that our "old reliables" like AFVs and Tanks are in danger? But a little pruning and shaping only helps, it'll do it here too.... Dane

| Gun Truck Gunner (MK19) ![]() | I dont know about closing but I do believe that the military history forums should become sub-forums of their respective general military discussions counterparts. Military history is not widly used, but a few users visit them on a regular basis. An example would be to merge general Military History with general Military Discussions and to create an additional forum in general military discussions for military history itself. That would help with the index, but still leave those forums accessable. That however is just one idea The vehicles and weapons systems grouping.. These could probably be made sub-forums of army, navy, marine corp, and air force.

| Monkey Mouse ![]() | I agree with you about the history, Scott. I hope it stays somewhere. I got permission to put my "on this day in military history posts' in there, but there is a lot more to history than those posts. I hope the military forums stay since they are the focus of this forum IMO. Perhaps their could be a general discussion forum added to each service? That might draw more military in.
