Question Is 30 posts too much for a trainee?

Is this too much? Should it be lowered? While it may not change I would like some feedback from the general public.

Basically the 30 post limit (for those that dont know) limits trainees from using the arcade, the gallery and the videos.

In the near future we will drop the arcade from trainees since we will be able to "Pay as you play" by requiring X posts for X number of games.

Let me know what you think!

-Jason

Some people really like playing games and it might be what keeps them coming back.

30 really isn't a whole lot. If they really are interested in the site they'll be around well past 30 posts

30 is a good number for the trainee status. I think the upper officer ranks, Colonel for example, should be a bit lower though.

I think 30 works just fine, that way it gives newbies a chance to get known.

I don't know about thirty, some people just don't have much to say, so they may just spam out thirty posts.

I would say either 15 or 20 myself.

I think it's a good number. They'll have a chance to get acquainted with the site and with the members. They may never have posted their opinions before and this will make them familiar with various styles so they can develop their own.

30 is a good round number. It's really a very small number.

Default Re: Is 30 posts too much for a trainee?

i think 30 is just fine , it doesnt take much to make 30 posts really , and really you want the site to grow as a community , posting helps that , when i first came here i just wanted to look at the videos and pics , now i comment and am in the pr division , and thats because of the minimum number of posts , had i not been required to make posts , i would not have become a part of the community , and i would have just been a lurker. so i say that making a minimum investment of 30 posts is more then likely going to help the community grow. , course that is just my opinion.
