Dear Members,

Due to transportation costs and travel time it would take to get to Branson, MO, the reunion committee including East and West Coast members have decided to hold the'08 Reunion in San Diego, CA on 3-7 September 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Mission Valley formerly known as the Red Lion Hanalei Hotel.

Below is a tentative list of Events.

Reunion Location: Crowne Plaza Hotel, 2270 Hotel Circle N., San Diego, CA 92108, Local 1-619-297-1101; Out-of-Town 1-800-882-0858.
Rooms are $109 plus tax and you MUST ask for MCTA or USMC Tanker Association rooms for this rate.

Dates: Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 through Sunday, September 7th, 2008.

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008:
Registration and Hospitality Room opened at 1200.

Thursday, September 4th, 2008:
Golf - No Tournament - Just for Fun;
Barbecue 'Luncheon and Raffle drawings at Admiral Baker Golf Course (Jacques Farm);
Concert performed by the Marine Corps Band from MCRD, at the Hotel Pool Side.
Time: 1700 - 1900.

Friday, September 5th, 2008:
Tour MCRD and attend Recruit Graduation.
Noon Chow at Duncan Hall (Mess Hall- Hosted by MCTA);
PX Shopping and Visit Command Museum.

Saturday, September 6th, 2008:
The Annual Business Meeting;
*Gunner Carrol Memorial Plaque Dedication at Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial;
*Visit USS Midway;
*2 Hour Tour of San Diego via Old Town Trolley, Cost $20 per person, payable at check-in (only 34 seats available);
*Note - Time will only allow to choose one of these three activities.
Dinner Dance at the Hotel with Hawaiian theme, 1800 - 2130.

Sunday, September 7th, 2008:
