Medical Good News/Bad News

A hospital surgeon told his patient, "I have some good news and some bad news. Which do you want to hear first?"
The patient says,"Give me the bad news first."
The doctor says, "We are going to have to amputate both of your feet."
The patient says, "Oh my gosh! That's terrible! What could poosibly be the good news then?" (gulp!)
The doctor says, "The patient in the next bed wants to buy your slippers."
