Sabotage

Gary Bettman has been the worst NHL commissioner in the history of the NHL
and it's not entirely due to the fact that he's an idiot. He purposely
mis-managed the league and put franchises in places where they don't belong,
in an effort to undermine the financial health of the league. Now that he
has succeed in phase one of his plan, he can now move into phase two -
breaking the NHLPA. He's been taking a big gamble with a game he doesn't
care about. If he fails, he can go back to the NBA and get a pat on the back
from Stern ("thanks for ensuring the NBA's financial future") or go back to
chasing ambulances. Nice going Gary.
