Default Journalist seeks hockey fans

I'm working on a story about an effort to use a video game to simulate
the stalled National Hockey League season. A cable TV network for
computer gamers is doing this. I'm wondering how serious hockey fans
are reacting to the effort. Have you paid any attention to the digital
NHL? Can a computer simulation of hockey provide any of the pleasure
you derive from watching the real games? Or is it all a waste of time?

I want to include your comments in my story, along with your name, age,
occupation and the community where you live.

This is for real; please click the links below for examples of my work.

Interested? Please contact me ASAP. Thanks.

I think anyone who watches or follows a computer simulation of hockey to
provide any of the pleasure of watching the game is pretty pathetic.

You are the perfect fit for him - you work for the Evil (software)
Empire and are a hockey fanatic AND you are a writer/publisher just
like he is. You could probably write his column! No wonder he picked
you.

On the flipside, I had no idea what the heck he was talking about and
no reason to even check it out. Simulated hockey? It's kinda like "I
can't believe it's not butter" - if it isn't the real thing, why bother?

True enough, Rich. Hey, do you have a spare copy of Saturday's Globe? I
didn't get mine - I think someone stole it out of my driveway or they don't
deliver it to Long Island or something.

Not interested at all. But then again, I'm lucky. I happen to live near
Reading, PA which gives me the opportunity to follow the ECHL's Reading
Royals.
