I figured I'd post a thread to show of some of my other hobbies besides photography. Hope you Enjoy This model is a M966 HMMWV TOW II weapons carrier that I commanded while assigned to TOW Plt. 3 Bn 17 Inf, 7 Inf Div (light)

Kits used are: Academy, M966, TOW 2 Missile Carrier, (Kit #CA149), DML U.S. Marine Tank-Killers; for the TOW 2 (kit #3012), Eduard Photo-etch, M1036 HMMV with Tow Launcher (Kit # 35 258), Aber Photo-etch, TOW and Dragon Detail Kit ( ), Telephone wire with cover for thick MGS and Nightsight cables, Twisted telephone wire for power cables (flat black Paper for straps), Testor's Master Model Paints

Very cool! I love the detail work. It takes a lot of patience as well as talent to do minatures. Very, very, very cool!

Here's another model I built. This one I titled "On Rappel!!" It depicts an infantryman of the 7 (US) Infantry Division (Light). The actual kit provided a US soldier in soft cap rappelling down a cliff. However, not satisfied with that, I decided to recreate an infantry of the division I served with for 10 years. I replaced the soft cap with a Kelvar helment, added a M16A2, LC1 large rucksack, 1 quart canteens, ammo pouched by raiding them from my spare parts bin. The camo strips (AKA: Ragtop in the 7 ID(L)) on the Kevlar was created from painted strips of paper, cut, then glued on. The 2 quart canteens were scratch built from strips of plastic. I used thick thread for the rope and the swiss seat, a small piece of wire was used for the carabiner.

Here's a diorama of a M-30, 4.2 inch US mortar. This is a 1/35 scale. To give the size, if a figure was used in would be only about 54mm (2 inches) tall.

That's some great work! Love the Manchu-flage on the k-pot in the "On Rappel!" model.
