Original War time paint?

ON German Helmets from WWI what do you look for to tell if the camo
paint is original? What are the tip off's to a repaint?

Wait......you tell a guy his helmet is fake yet you can't tell if camo paint
is original?? You need to be sued!

Actaully I know the M18 was fake not based on the paint but the cut
out. If you mean the other helmet maybe you need to brush up on your
reading comprehension skills a bit.
You seem to share the same problem as the would be sue'er, in that no
where did i ever state the jack A** was selling a fake. Rather I stated
I was advised by more then a few experts that the paint was not
original. Since I came to own the helmet in question I took very clear
photo's and sent it out to many an expert, repainters and militaria
dealers. Of the ten or so responces i got only one was postitive on the
originality issue, and that was only, "it looks good but to bless off
on it I'd need it in my hands". Got that so far jerkey?
What you have actually done here is say i said something that I never
did, and i can prove it. (That is defamation and is slander by the way,
but I won't sue you because I am not a whiny cry baby lik the lawyer in
bakersfield.) I asked Jack A** lawyer boy's mother to please send me
the text where by I stated he was selling a fake to that I may address
it and retract that statement in this very forum. I made this offer
only in the interests of integrity. The responce was a curt, "I
consider the issue closed and there is no need for further
communications". now let me trannslate that for you,

Read that, "We're full of BS, you never said it and we know it but
like to try to make you un sure of your words so we can scare you with
legal threats".

Now got anything else stupid to say?
