Default Why aren't we all dying?

Quote:
Someone asked, "The only thing that keeps coming to my mind is that if all these chemicals are this horrendous and all around us why are we not dead..?"
Maybe we are closer to 'living' death than many realize

... a game of Russian roulette

I suspect the baby boomers of WWII vets to be having the birth defects of brain tumors and type 2 insulin resistant diabetes and Syndrome X (metabolic problem with weight gain around the middle & bad cholesterol numbers) ...

then there are the sarcoma cancers, that aren't all that rare. Leukemias, lymphomas, birth defects and multiple other cancers in every gland & organ you can think of

I suspect everyone knows someone affected, but doesn't realize it.

And the USA knows how bad this chemical is.

Although we say we don't know about cancer and birth defects

It's just the public that doesn't

Time to check into it

Focus needs to be on stopping the autoimmune immune system

Poor Millie Well, I don't have enough information to say that this Parkinson's that attacked a 51 year old would be from this chemical, but the 'pattern of its harm' might be there.

I do suspect this for an ordinary person, named Sue, however.

And it is common knowledge that the sperm count in males is declining nationwide over the past 40+ years. Last show that I saw that was commenting on it was Animal Planet: blaming the unused female homones in contraceptives for making men less male-like. They said we were drinking recycled sewer water, and they couldn't get rid of the female hormones in it.

Makes more sense to suspect a chemical that targets the testes & is in lots of products, possibly even jet fuel?

Default Pedicures and eye make up? etc

I have wondered about pedicures, manicures & eye make up as being a possible source of exposure to the 2-butoxyethanol chemical. ... some miscellaneous thoughts ...

I did notice that there was an outbreak of 'flu-like' symptoms from a CA pedicure salon. I thought, 'hmm ... the foot bath softened up the cuticle area, but what are the chemicals that are used after that?'

I believe the suggestion of a seasoned painter to his young counterpart ... "When you paint your car in my garage, be very careful. It is the eye membranes and the cuticle areas that are the strongest points of exposure to the harmful component in paint"

I was thinking about wearing eye make up again not long ago. The eye liner I could find that was liquid was made in Germany. Only wore it a couple of times because it made my eyes burn. That's a bad sign, if you think the way I do. So, I skipped it. Also, other countries can put this 2-butoxyethylene or diethylene glycol monobutly ether more strong in products than the USA might.

I would like to ask Tammy Fae Baker, known for her extensive use of mascara & having mascara-smudged image... whether or not she had CFS? She did come down with one of the cancers that could go with the 2-butoxyethanol overexposure: colon cancer. (she was diagnosed with cancer and underwent surgery to have a large section of her colon removed)

Then I heard that Jan Crouch has been cancer free for these past 2 years; however she also uses, and has for many, many years ... a lot of mascara & other eye make up. Colon cancer in her case, too and 2 lymph nodes showed signs of cancer. ... losing blood from her system & had been anemic.

A pregnant mom wanted to go to the beauty salon with 'the girls' but was told she couldn't get in the hot tub because she was 6 months pregnant ... but that a pedicure would be OK ... I tried to stop her, but no such luck. Her baby was born 5 weeks early and soon had a hemangioma (blood tumor birth defect) show up. There may be no relationship at all. In this mom's case she had used Accutane for acne as a teen (which has a butylated inert ingredient) and her husband was a gulf war vet. So those are most likely the source of some exposures to the n-butyl ethers; but the pedicure? It didn't help & I'd sure suggest skipping it, if anyone asked me.

Besides skin hemangiomas - that are visible and benign & should disappear as the baby grows up, there are others that are invisible: lymph nodes can have them or even hemangiosarcomas; the spleen and liver and pancreas can have hemangiomas. There is also such a thing as hemangiosarcoma on the skin, hemangiomas in nasal bones, on uterus and on ovaries, lungs .... spine, brain.

On related points:

We also hear about the 'bird flu' that is harmful to humans ... such as around the duck farms. Hog/swine farms, too? What do duck and hog farms use to sanitize and stop odors? It wouldn't surprise me if it was a version of the n-butyl ethers. How often do you see news articles on the outbreak of 'flu-like' symptoms where those farms are?

Once my son had some spray paint cans that were written in Chinese or something ... and I said, "If you can't read the warnings, don't use the product!" Once I got a junk e-mail in which one of the Asian countries was advertising the use of break fluid that had triple and quadruple strength concentrations of 2-butoxyethanol (Woah, that would do anybody in) ... if they got the mist in their eyes. Don't mist or spray products with 2-butoxyethanol!

Default Other Exposures?

I had about an hour visit with a woman who had the horrible flu symptoms for a week ten years ago ...

She said she and her husband had been drinking the raw milk for several months by that time. I said, "Then it wouldn't be the milk. You will know 15 minutes after a strong exposure to 2-butoxyethanol type chemicals, and that's what it sounds like your 'flu symptoms' would be from."

She had commented that there were news articles at that time about people in the vicinity of the hog/duck farms were getting 'flu-like' symptoms. She shared that she and her husband were so very, very sick and so very, very tired. If the doctor had checked the 'retic rate' it would have been very elevated at 2.5 days after exposure to this chemical.

And it wouldn't surprise me if the farms were using such chemicals to clean up their mess or smell. (Something like a big 'farm version' of Lysol Disinfectant Spray?) Worst exposure is vapors in one's eyes

Over their life-time this couple has also had significant other exposures to the chemicals. She said long before that she had hypothyroidism & an operation on her thyroid. She has had her gall bladder removed. She worked in the cleaning business and used all kinds of strong cleaners. One time she used carpet cleaner and had a severe reaction (Remember the cat?) Right now her joints hurt so bad; she had headaches until she went through menopause.

Her husband, in addition to the acute exposure to something similar 10 years ago, also had worked on the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup. At the end of the summer, 1989, he had such severe coughing spells that you would have thought he had emphazema. (Cough that won't quit is sometimes a sign of too much of some type of chemical). This dear man had a skin mole that grew into a cancer. His face was eaten away like you'ld expect to see on a leper. He collapsed while driving his car & died about 3 years ago. Thankfully his grandson who was in the car with him was OK.

I'd sure like to have a visit with anyone who knew what each of these soldiers were doing 15 minutes before their flu-like symptoms showed up.

And I'd l ike to have a visit with Hillary's staff or someone who knows what they were doing when her/their 'flu-like' symptoms showed up.

Default Time Delayed Birth Defects

I've been thinking ...

There have to be a lot of things that are birth defects, but not visible nor anyone aware of them ... at birth.

Then, 40-50 years later, brain tumors, from a parent's strong exposure to a teratogen chemical such as 2-butoxyethanol. Since it affects every gland and organ and the blood and lymph system, neurological system, too ... then things in that area could be affected in a second generation, and at any time period.

I suspect this chemical for the blood tumors: hemangiomas. Some show up later, much later as well as the larger ones with a different name: vascular abnormalities.

Here is an example, to my way of thinking: Adrenoleukodystrophy or ALD
When I first heard what ALD stood for, I thought, "hmm that's the kind of thing that 2-butoxyethanol would do." Then I purchased and watched intently the documentary, Lorenzo's oil. I spoke with one of the researchers from Italy, who adamantly declared, "You do not get ALD unless the mom has some X chromosome thing" (Sorry, I don't recall exactly what, but I'm not a medical person.)

Not long after I looked up a synonym for hemolysis which 2-butoxyethanol does: hemoglobinuria. There it was, 2-butoxyethanol damages the X chromosome

Now in the story about Lorenzo, he was a perfectly healthy, happy boy until about 5+ years old. The family moved to Wash DC from Africa & that is when the ALD started evidencing itself. I have wondered whether there was some direct exposure to 2-butoxyethanol that 'set it off'

And I am wondering whether learning disabilities such as ADD, and metabolic problems such as Syndrome X and adult onset diabetes could be showing up now from exposures people received in the 1940s

These would be the parents, grandparents, and great grandparents of many who are alive today. And their children can have exposures either directly or indirectly, further compounding the issue.

Default Desert Storm - Half gulf war vets on Disability?

Quote:
Half of the Gulf War I are now on disability?
Christian radio station KJSL reported this morning that 1/2 of the Gulf War I are now on disability. This should mean an astounding 250,000!

This is amazing, but the near total silence is perhaps even more amazing.

As this show progresses, will report anything significant reported.

"Mr M"
To which I replied,

What about those who died already?
What about the coalition forces?

David of Patriot files shared this history of 'Gulf War'
(I do have persmission to share)

1st Cav
In August 1990, the 1st Cav was alerted for deployment to Southwest Asia as part of the joint forces participating in Operation Desert Shield. The focus at that time was the defense of Saudi Arabia against potential Iraqi attack.

During August, the division trained on a massive scale, firing all weapons, preparing equipment and people for overseas movement, and planning surface, sea, and air movement. Actual deployment to Saudi Arabia began in September, extending into mid-October. Equipment was moved by convoy and rail to ports in Texas and then by ships to the port of Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

First Team soldiers flew from Robert Gray Army Airfield to Dhahran International Airport in Saudi Arabia. There, they settled into warehouses and tents to await the arrival of their equipment. As soon as their equipment had arrived they moved to an assembly area in the desert 160 miles west of the port.

During October, November and December 1990, the division drew new equipment, trained, and planned defensive operations. By the end of December, the 1st Cavalry Division was one of the most modern and powerfully equipped divisions in the Army. The division's tankers drew, trained on and fired the M1A1 Abrams "Main Battle Tank" armed with a 120 millimeter smooth bore gun and one of the most sophisticated automotive and fire control systems in the world.

First Team infantrymen received the newest version of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, the up-armored M2A2 which like the new Abrams proved its worth in combat. Both vehicles were reliable, survivable and deadly during Desert Storm operations.

The first glimpse of that performance came in December 1990 on the division's Pegasus Range, a full gunnery training facility built up from the sands of the Saudi desert. Every tank and Bradley crew fired their new weapons on Pegasus range as part of new equipment transition training.

Throughout this period, the division's leaders were planning and rehearsing the First Team's role as the theater counterattack force - the force that would defeat any Iraqi attack into Saudi Arabia.

Before hostilities, the First Team gained valuable experience in combined operations through coordination with French, Egyptian and Syrian forces. With the First Team's 2nd Brigade and the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) under its tactical control, the 1st Cavalry Division conducted a complex light force/heavy force defense of critical theater logistics bases.

In January 1991, the division was attached to VII (US) Corps and the focus of the First Team clearly began to shift toward offensive action. The division moved early 500 kilometers to another assembly area near King Khalid Military City (KKMC) in northern Saudi Arabia.

This put the division in a key strategic location covering the historic Wadi al Batin approach into Saudi Arabia and threatening Iraq along the same avenue into western Kuwait.

The time spent near KKMC was short, and the division once again packed up its 17,000 soldiers now accustomed to "jumping." The division moved north toward the juncture of the Saudi, Iraq and Kuwait borders through a series of defensive positions designed to thwart any preemptive attack along the Wadi. First Team deterrence was successful - no attack came. Meanwhile, the air war began and other Allied ground forces began to reposition for the offense. While other ground forces prepared for war, the First Team began a calculated war of deception along the Saudi border.

The goal was to lure Saddam Hussein into believing the Allied attack would come from this direction, and trick him into emplacing additional forces there. While the division's 8th Engineer Battalion improved positions and conducted "Berm Buster" missions to destroy Iraqi obstacles, the division's 1-7 Cav, screened well forward, clashing with Iraqi forces. The First Team began its secret fight to deceive Iraq long before the world would come to know that "ground-war fighting" had already begun.

The First Team's Multiple Launched Rocket Systems repeatedly lit the night sky, battering deep enemy targets, while its sister cannon batteries fired Copperhead rounds, rocket-assisted projectiles, and thousands of high explosive and improved conventional munitions into Iraq. The Aviation Brigade flew obstacle reduction and aerial reconnaissance missions and designated targets for destruction by the division's artillery. The enemy responded. Iraqi divisions focused forces toward the coalition threat in the Wadi, and the First Team froze them. Hussein's flanks were left thinned, allowing the other Allied Forces to attack virtually unopposed. The deception had worked.

On February 20th, in Desert Storm's "First" major mounted ground engagement, the division's 2nd (Blackjack) Brigade attacked 10 miles into Iraq, confirming and destroying enemy positions. Success exacted its price. During this engagement, the Blackjack Brigade suffered the agony of the "First" three Army soldiers to be killed in action. On the opening of the ground war, the Blackjack Brigade supported by the Aviation Brigade Apaches, moved into Iraq on a reconnaissance-in-force. The brigade broke contact after penetrating enemy obstacles, taking fire and causing the enemy to light fire trenches. They withdrew south to join the division for its final attack.

On February 26, the Commander of the Allied Forces, General Norman Schwarzkopf directed, "send in the First Team. Destroy the Republican Guard. Let's go home."

The division charged west pausing only to refuel before passing through breeches in the enemy obstacle belt. Racing north, then east, the division moved in a vast armada of armor, stretching from horizon to horizon, Within 24 hours, the first Team had gone 300 kilometers, slicing deep into the enemy's rear. As the division prepared to destroy a Republican Guard division, the cease fire halted it.

1st Cavalry Division units setup defensive positions where the cease fire had stopped their attack, then expanded north to "Highway 8," clearing bunkers and looking for enemy equipment and soldiers. The 1st (Ironhorse) Brigade stretched through the historic Euphrates River Valley. Within 2 weeks the 1st Cav moved south into Saudi Arabia and its new assembly area (AA) Killeen. There on the plain of the Wadi al Batin - the Cav began to prepare for redeployment home.

During Operation Desert Storm, the First Team had several firsts: "First" to defend along the Saudi-Iraq border; "First" to fire Copperhead artillery rounds in combat; "First" to conduct intensive MLRS artillery raids; and in its pre-G-Day attacks the First Team was "First" to conduct mounted combat in Iraq. Unprecedented logistical and communications requirements were met consistently by the Division Support Command and the 13th Signal Battalion with its Mobile Subscriber Equipment.

Addressing the division in AA Killeen on Palm Sunday, VII (US) Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Frederick Franks emphasized the division's major role in the allied victory. "You were leading the corps - you were the major combat power VII Corps had. You were the First Team. You led us into combat. You began the fight, you led the way..."

Default Help the Immune System -

Quote:
"Sometimes an immune imbalance makes our immune cells attack healthy parts of our bodies in what is called an autoimmune response causing such common chronic problems as colitis, ulcers, dermatitis & joint disease."

"When your immune balance is upset you open yourself to a whole range of illness both acute and chronic" Dr. Berger's book, Dr. Berger's Immune Power Diet

Check #613.2 on the library shelves or tell the librarian it is ISBN 0-453-00483-0
First published in 1985
I suspect it would help the headaches, everything!

Most likely what has been done for this military man could be harming him, not helping him. (If too much of a chemical exposure caused what he has; more chemicals introduced into his system may be counterproductive) Last report said his joints/bones were ailing. He did share with me when I talked to him some months ago that he almost died of a grande mal seizure.

... also bone and join problems in many harmed by 2-butoxyethanol, if someone is affected by this chemical, (and I suspect so because of what Brian's brother ... a weapon's master sgt ... so he used to clean guns with strong solvents, CLP & worse. He told me that after 9-11 he could pick out whatever he wanted to to clean the weapons with.

& then there are other possibilities for exposure, as well.

Did his doctors check for autoimmune hemolytic anemia?
THE FATIGUE? Think back ... do you remember any times when you had a bout of a-typical 'flu' or pneumonia and then a horrible fatigue?

Does he have blood in urine? Are red blood cells small and mostly immature? this is important to know, because if so, other tests regarding white blood cells, liver and many other tests do not read right & have to be manually adjusted for the proper reading.

Maybe his doctor (& yours) could consult with Dr. Berger who understands how to help the immune system & get it back into balance with diet and food supplements. He wrote a book which you may be able to get from your public library, or they could borrow from another library.

Take Vitamin C, A, E
In AM or afternoon B complex vitamins
Certain amino acids
(I hope for a study on glyconutrients)

Check immune system for what is lacking (Labs can do that)
You will want to skip things in diet that hurt the immune system, like foods high in sugar, carbohydrates, fats

I'm just learning about this, so this is not much to go on;

I had hoped to contact Dr. Berger & ask for his help.
He has done research with Harvard School of Public Health
However, as it turns out he died in 1994 at the age of 40

In his book, I noticed examples of people who had flu-like symptoms & then damage similar to what I would expect from someone harmed by 2-butoxyethanol. They were helped by his program & other doctors do refer their patients to him.

So, maybe if you can correct the immune imbalance, you can stop it from being autoimmune.

Default What could ALD and Male Pattern Baldness have in common?

I've been looking for answers for them.

& here are some thoughts

In the case of the child, the chemical I suspect for causing the syndrome, and other things such as CFS, CFIDS, FM, ME ... is a teratogen. So, any of the things it does, could show up as a birth defect in a second generation.

ALD, in my opinion, is a second generation birth defect from what this chemical could do

Looks like male pattern baldness is a connective tissue ailment ... has to do with enzyme in the prostate ... & comes from one's mother line ...

I suppose you know what I suspect
