| Non-Commissioned Officer ![]() | Soon as I get around to it, I'll post a pic of the carrier pigeon wearing a deployed parachute I took at the Imperial War Museum. The plan was to drop these over occupied areas, be retrieved by locals who would hopefully follow the attached instructions to note any enemy activity and strengths in the area, re-attach and release the pigeon....who would dutifully fly back to the U.K. and report. WWII.
