| The Librarian ![]() | With the demise of my DOS pc, I can no longer play wizardry 7. Can anyone advice me of a turn based fantasy RPG that does not require much arcade style dexterity. I like good graphics, appropriate music, varying challenges and interesting puzzles. Wizardry 7 provided all that. Game store employees look at me like "You want WHAT?", and can provide nothing like what I want. Any advice, I know this is a strategic game club and this is a bit off topic, but I hope someone can advise me. The Trackpads RPG is interesting but fails on several levels. 1. You are a single character that must fight unaided (unless you have a summons). I prefer a game where multiple characters, with varying specialities, working together to a common goal, preferably played by multiple players. 2. There is no suspense regarding the abilities of the "bot" you choose to fight. You know what his stats are and you know there is only one. 3. There are no awards, except XP and money, for winning a battle and there is no great loss, if you are killed, you just buy potions and heal yourself up again. Being killed should require an expensive resurrection and bots that kill you should steal all your items and all the cash you have not in the bank. When you kill a bot it would be nice for him so items you can pick up, some if which you can use, others that you can sell. 4. There is no character interaction, joint planning, ethical dilemas, individual initative. I will post this in the RPG thread also.

I'm gonna fwd this to my son-in-law, and pooter graphic designer and officiando/player of (I think) these type games you refer to. He's ex-Navy, and loves my daughter very very very much. So, I trust him in all matters! ![]() I put that address there so if you want to you can ask him yourself... the two of you will know the lingo. Edited to take his email out since this is a public forum and no telling who might contact him (PERSEC). Too many weirdos out there.

| Crew Dawg ![]() | Bill - Here's what he sent back to me! ![]() He's REALLLLLLLLLLLLY good at those games, though. Write him! --------------------------------------------------- Is he on Windows or a Mac? If on a newer version of Windows and that's the reason it won't work, here's some info: http://www.geocities.com/grieversnr/kingofallgames.html If he needs suggestions for a new game I need to know whether he's on Windows or a Mac to make a suggestion. -k

| The Librarian ![]() | Yes, I have looked at a number of options and I think his recommendation for: Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000CNUUP/ from Amazon.com will meet the need nicely. Can't really tell how much dexterity is required but I will buy it and find out. Thanks Sir Blue.
