Problems launching-computer reboots everytime

HP Pavilion
Microsoft XP Home Edition
SP 1
1.4Ghz
512 mb Ram
DirectX 9.0
GeForce FX 5500 256mb

Reinstalled game today....

Downloaded Rage of the Wookies with Light Speed for $24.95

Defragged......
Did reset in-game options and checked disable world preloading as prescribed
in help.....

I've been at this for hours with no luck.....I get to the point where my
character pops up on the screen and instantly computer reboots. This has
happened 6 times now and I'm tired, any ideas? Some easy fix that I haven't
come upon yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A guess...might be vid card drivers.

Might as well be the soundcard drivers. I suddenly had graphic errors
(everyone's head was in a bright white) resulting in reboots after some
time. Reinstalling soundcard drivers fixed it finally.
