| Civilians | What is the best way to locate servers? Is it simply using the the game itself, or is there some all encompassing program that does a better job? Nothing like clicking a server and the game says there is 30 of 32 players and a ping of 65 only to enter the game and find there are only 4 people and my ping is over 180. Anyone? Anything? Thanks, Peng aka ChikenNuts |

| Civilians | Michael Bain <poppa@wetleather.com>: >Yonni> I use ASE (http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/) to find servers. Lots >Yonni> of options. Mmm, I always thought in-game ping was a bit lower. Never saw such a big difference. -- Yonni |

The explaination was that the server browser was reporting pings from the master server to the game server, not the ping from your PC to the game PC. Since the master server is on a fat pipe and on a large backbone, the reported ping was lower. I suspect the same thing happens with BF42's master server, and ASE's master server, etc. -- MrToad [aka [AGB] Weisses Fleisch] |

| Civilians | I must be an idiot. I still don't get it. I only see NAME, PING, FLUX, PL, PLAYERS, GAME ADDRESS. There is nothing more to the right.
