Default How to pick a new Video Card?

Hello,

My system will soon be upgraded to 768 Megs of RDRAM and my ISP will
be switched to a DSL service with 1.5 Mbs down and 900 up. My current
video card is a GeForce4 MX 420 with 64MB of DDR. The system is a P4
2.4 Ghz machine with XP Pro. The next upgrade will likely be a
replacement of the video card.

How do I pick a new video card and how do I know if it will be
compatible with my Dell 8250 computer? I'm really a computer novice
and have done some looking but don't know what to look for and what to
avoid. BF (and its Mods) are the only games that I play on-line. I'm
thinking that a tier 2 VC would be more appropriate than the current
top of the line VC's.

Thanks for any assistance you can give!

Rick

www.pricewatch.com is an invaluable tool for determining the "sweet
spot" for particular pieces of hardware. Not sure if you're familiar
with it, but it's nothing but a list of hardware vendors organized by
price and item.
