Default DesertCombat .7 video problem! help!

Hello,

I just installed Battlefield 1942, patch 1.6 RTR, SWWWII

Then I installed Desert Combat .7

The game loads ok but in DC the cideo is wierd... Sometimes the tanks
are driving in mid air! Plus you look one way and its ok and in
another dir everything is all brown... Or transparent!

Here is my system specs...

Pentium 4 2.53Ghz
512 MB DDR2700 RAM
Intel D845PEBT2 MB
NVIDIA GeForce4 TI 4200 128 MB Card
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Digital Platinum
19in ViewSonic Monitor

Any idea's why the graphics are so messed up?

Thanks for any help!

The official nVidia Detonator drivers can be found here:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
They will work with your Asus card.

Or you can try the Omega drivers here:
http://www.omegacorner.com/index_nvidia.html
They will work with your card too.

I believe both the sites have options for D/L'ing older drivers.

Thanks! That did the trick!

Wow the maps sure look a LOT better now...

While I was at it I pulled the card to get the exact info off it and
to clean out the fan on the card. Sure was dirty!

I had totally transparent ground textures for a bit, then I went into my
driver settings and moved the slider from max performance setting to max
quality setting and voila. Problem solved for me, looks great...56.55
drivers btw.

May I ask where you guys got those 56.55 drivers from? They are not
on the Asus site or the Nvidia site...

Thanks

change your video driver as recomended by others,
put in another 512mb of RAM, the more memory in a PC the better.
helps loading times and smooth game play.
and makes Windows more reliable.
