Is the military keeping the YF-22? I thought there were 2 versions of that plane and one was winning out over the other. Actually, I believe we should build pilotless aircraft that are controlled from the ground in a simulator. Think of the manuvers a pilot could pull off if he didn't have to worry about the G forces, and we didn't have to worry about loss of life. -- [AGB] Creamy Goodness "220, 221, whatever it takes" |

There were the YF-22 and YF-23 - The YF-22 won and will now be the F-22 Raptor. Somehow I don't believe they'll actually build many of them, though - just like the B2, there simply isn't a need for them anymore. -- Juergen Nieveler / juergen.nieveler@web.de / PGP supported! For those that don't know it's a Japanese anime and it is very similar to this. > > Actually, I believe we should build pilotless aircraft that are > controlled from the ground in a simulator. Again this reminds me of "Macross Plus" -- [AGB]Nate- "When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer." |
