Default Star Wars Battlefield

Lucasarts are taking a stab at a Battlefield game. Looks interetsing
but the interviewer doesnt convince me with his Battlefield 1942
knowledge "the first and coolest mod was a Star Wars mode. Freakin'
cool."

uh right, wasnt DC first? and I wonder if he's actually _played_ the
star wars mod, ntohing cool except the look.

Lucas Arts hosted the GC mod or linked to them definatly, and got interested
in doing similar,
they did the Jedi FPS so why not do a clone of BF1942.
they have the Starwars Galaxy online thingy, a workmate of mine is HEAVILY
into that.
RPG with bad FPS and lots of learning skills and hunting vermin for credits
LOL.
interesting concept but very long winded, and the graphics are very late
80s.
appeals to the RPG crew I suppose.
bf1942 is more akin to a Football match, 45 mins each way.
regards malcolm

Over on fileplanet.com, there is a movie trailer of the game playing. Kinda
sad that they called it battle front, but why not go for that confused mom
who is looking battlefield but get's battlefront by mistake.

The game looks kinda cool, though I'm not sure how it will play out in real
life. You might have seen, but they tried the same thing with the Terminator
3 game and it just didn't work (in my opinion)

You also notice they have a Counter-stike like game coming out called Star
Wars Commando.

Guess, since the movies are doing so great, they figured they would chance
after the gamers as well.

I heard about the Terminator 3 attempt when it first was announced and
wanted it to be good but I didnt hear much about it, which isnt a good
sign.

I thought Star Wars Commando was going to be like Dark Forces except
with you being a Clone Trooper instead of a rebel or Jedi
