Experimenting Question

After you successfully experiment on an object you are given several
options. What is create a schematic? I can see that it puts it in your
data pad, but what can you do with it then? Thanks.

Schematics are loaded into a factory, to produce large quantities of that
item (up to 1000). Crafting can get pretty hairy. Here is a site, with a
