| Civilians | Just though I'd give you a heads up on another bad admin. B²Z Houd Dog who has admin rights on the Brav2zero Clan DCX server can't handle getting beat, especially when he's getting beat by people abiding by the server rules. I was on there today, playing quite happily... some one got kicked in a previous game for base raping... Server rules are flashed up on screen like in most servers. The one that caught my attention was 'Taking out a scud or sam in base is ok, but then you must leave' I had a friend playing on the other side, and he likes the Scud and I knew it was him when we started getting hit hard by it. I grabbed a tank, skirted around the back of their base and took a few shots at the scud, he made a run for it.. and rather than drive through the bas I went around the outskirts of it and caught and killed the scud... nothing was said. A few mins later I'm having to do the same thing, but this time as I approach the base I'm spotted and attacked by a Hind and a Shilka... I dispatched both quite easily as I'm very handy in a tank, especially against Hinds, I take out the scud and make my way out of the base.... Now the guy in the hind is this Hound Dog plonker, and he starts screaming base camping, and no one allowed in the base... I point out that the server rules allow me to enter to destroy the scud/sam, and do they seriously expect people not to return fire when fired upon. I also pointed out that it was them who attacked first and I rightly defended myself. Hound Dog got into a little bit of a tizzy over being called on this, and started saying that it was his rules and it wasn't allowed. Despite after him saying that.. up on the screen came the text message saying it was ok to take out scud/sam in the base.... which made a few of us laugh. I was polite the whole time, and told him not to accuse me of unfair play when I was abiding by the SERVER rules as laid out by the clan, and it was unfair of him to abuse his position as admin. I was promptly kicked... my friend on their team, told him he was wrong to kick me, and that he felt he was abusing his admin position.. he was promptly kicked as well. The moral of this little story... B²Z Hound Dog is a ****tard with no idea how to admin and shouldn't be allowed to be one. I'd hope that the rest of the clan aren't like this, it would be shame for the whole clan to get labelled in this way over one kiddie who can't handle the fact he was getting his ass handed to him by me in a tank. He seems to think that the rules on the server that were agreed upon by the entire clan, don't apply and he can change them to suit... shame he didn't (or rather couldn't) change the admin messages that are auto displayed to inform people of the rules. I hope that there are others from the clan who read/lurk here.. you need to know when your admins are abusing their position. Shame, as up to that point, I really was kicking some ass. H |

Just saying those words about them abusing their "admin rights" will usually result in a kick from the game, whether justified or not. The fact you began the "discussion", to them it felt like an "arguement". Hooligan |

The fact you >began the "discussion", to them it felt like an "arguement". What you say is very true. In this situation one needs to determine which is more important.... continued play or making a point. We often get challenged on minor infractions to our rules on the Iron Rangers server. We often get people who have invested NOTHING come in and tell us what our rules should be. Right or wrong the admin really has the last word and as a guest you have only to decide if you will abide by them or leave. Many times people are kicked just because they insist on arguing about a minor point until it becomes just too annoying. Of course, it is certainly within everyone's right to post about the alleged abuse. I'm not saying that this is the case here but frequently we have people come back with stories that don't even come close to the truth. =IR= Ventana Iron Ranger Battalion BattleField 1942 ** Recruits wanted ** www.ironrangers.net |

I think you misunderstand my point: I went into a fixed base destroyed the scud and left immediately... the only time I destroyed anything, was when I was fired upon. The server rules state that you CAN enter a base and destroy the Scud or the Sam, so lang as you leave right after. I even informed my team mates that I was heading on a scud hunt (so they wouldn't think I was going to base rape) I WAS following the rules to the letter, and got called a base camper by the admin. I explained what I did, but that was ignored because the admin was having a a girly hissy fit over being killed by me.. He was in the Hind, I was in the tank... Now I never actually entered the base... the closest I came was the opposite side of the runway. When I was attacked, I was well outside the base, but heading towards it. When I took out the scud, I never even paused.. I just did a drive by and kept going. How I can then be accused of base camping is beyond me... the admin was well out of order. Now you may not 'actually' be saying I not being truthful.. but you are insiuating it... and seeing as you don't know me, I'll let it slide. But anyone who has played with/agasint me regulary knows I don't base camp, and I don't like those that do. I've offered up my side of it to them, and the admins are trying to deny it.. but one of the more reasonable ones is going to check the logs and will see exactly what I said. H |

I was polite through the entire discussion.. although it seems the admin was too busy screaming 'rape' to actually read what I said... he was more concerned with telling me that it was HIS rules and he was an admin, and could kick me. That's not good admining.. a good admin will explain the rules and why they feel you have broken them, a good admin will listen to a polite yet firmly stated opinion... even if he disagrees with it. A good admin doesn't go around stamping his feet and throwing his toys out of his pram because he's not winning. Basically, the admin, ignored the rules set down by the clan, and chose to enforce some of his own... why.. who knows, maybe he was having a bad hair day. He does claim that he scored most points that round, and had fun after we were kicked.. well of course he did.. he kicked two of the better players on the server. Probably the only way he could get to the top of the scoreboard. ![]() H |

I also think it's hard for admin to admit when he is wrong...too! Rather then continue the "discussion" it's sometimes better just to suck it up and move and continue to play by what you feel is right. If once again you... attempt to take out active arty in the UCB and get kicked, I would then take it to their forums instead of attempting to explain your side in game chat. I know a lot of admins applaud people who do that in the AGB forums. The Core will also look at the log and discuss anything that needs to be discussed. Hooligan |
