Name it. ANSWERS 1. This is the 110th Congress. 2. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the new speaker, is a Democrat from California. 3. The House speaker immediately follows the president and vice president in the order of succession. If the president and vice president are removed from office for any reason, the speaker moves up. 4. The House speaker is succeeded by the Senate's president pro tempore, and then the Cabinet secretaries. 5. The Cabinet secretaries would be appointed according to the order in which their departments had been established. 6.
